Painter of Paradise

"Sleep Over the Ocean" - Pacific Beach Pier. Original Watercolor painting by Don Doerfler.

The Story - I love hanging out at the beachand checking out the surf and people. Pacific Beach has been part of my turf for a very long time, and the pier has always been a point of interest. One day I decided with a little help from my 'artistic license' that this would be a great subject matter for a painting. Especially with a few of it's inhabitants hanging out, a surfer, bicyclist, walkers, etc. If only it looked this good in person!

The Prints -This Fine Art 'Giclee' print is available at 18"x 24" matted and framed.
These 'Giclee' prints have a 13"x 17" image area. (What is a 'Giclee' print?)

I produce these myself in my studio on a very high-end Epson 2400 eight color printer
on archeival quality paper. Therfore the quality is guaranteed.

The price per framed print is $195.00 plus shipping and tax.

Painter of Paradise Info-
What is a 'GICLEE' print?

Giclee (pronounced "gee-clay"), from the French word meaning to "squirt" or "spurt," is a highly sophisticated inkjet printing process that was introduced in the late 1980s. It's so sophisticated, in fact, that it produces open or limited edition prints, which truly capture the artist's original intent. Even museums have realized the vast potential of this technology and have made giclee editions a permanent part of their collections, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art (New York), Museum of Modern Art (San Francisco) and Museum of Contemporary Art (Los Angeles) to name a few. These prints are created from high-resolution digital images, using the best quality ink and paper stock available, resulting in color saturation and image detail capture that exceeds other types of image reproduction. Here at Painter of Paradise, giclee prints are generated on my 8-color Epson 2400 printer, which is able to produce amazingly detailed prints of both works of fine art and photographs. I use Epson Ultrachrome K3 inks exclusively, because of their archival quality and true colors. All of this guarantees you a long-lasting museum quality work of art. As I produce these prints personally, they are of the highest quality.
